Contemporary woven paper artwork handcrafted in Puebla, Mexico. The Mexican artists use traditional techniques to make the paper from indigenous trees in the area. They boil the bark, pound it and in this case, bleach it to create different colored paper. The artists achieve cutout areas by weaving wet bark fibers.
