Gorgeous Mata Ortiz olla by artist Adrian Corona. Adrian delicately etched different medallions with Xolo dogs. The Xoloitzcuintle, or Xolo, is a Mexican hairless dog. Its name comes from the Aztec god Xolotl, the god of fire and lightning. Dogs were believed to be spiritual protectors of the human soul.
