Bertha Cruz: Polar Bear

Bertha Cruz creates some of the most beautiful wood carvings in Oaxaca. She has a distinct style of painting using delicate dots to create the background of her pieces, then she decorates the piece with her codex or stylized designs. This time she created a gorgeous polar bear. The design includes a beautiful butterfly, pastel flowers, snakes and fish.
