Vibrant macaw woodcarving by well-known Oaxacan artists Damian and Beatriz Morales. Damian is Elezar's brother, who taught him how to carve. Macaws were thought to be messengers of the gods in Mexico's pre-Columbian cultures. This sculpture is very nicely carved and painted in complementary bright colors.
