Eli Ortiz is a second-generation Mata Ortiz potter. His famous father was Chevo Ortiz who first developed the turbines, swirls, ollas. His uncle Macario is credited with one of the most influential innovations in Mata Ortiz, the graphite technique. This beautiful pot by Eli incorporates both outstanding features. A very nice piece.
