Huichol: Contemporary Red Day of the Dead Skull

Fantastic contemporary Huichol skull decorated with beautiful wine, red and black glass beads.   This stunning skull has a beaded design of mystical peyote flowers, eagles and arrows. To the Huichol people, the deer was considered a messenger from God.

The Wixárika or Huichol people are the masters of beaded art in Mexico and arguably the world. Beads are painstakingly placed one by one over the wax areas that have been prepared for beading.
