Magnificent armadillo sculpture created by Jesus S Santiago. Jesus is a young Oaxacan woodcarving artist who creates superb quality sculptures. He started carving when he was 12 and credits his brother in law, Agustin Cruz Prudencio for influencing and perfecting his style. The quality of his painting is impressive...so detailed, precise, and clean. The coloring of this armadillo is so attractive in elegant ochre, yellow, and blue hues. The painting is absolutely magnificent creating a fretwork design with two pre-Columbian corn figures. Simply spectacular!
