Exquisite seahorse wood sculpture by the very talented Oaxacan artist Julia Fuentes. Julia is the daughter of first-generation woodcarving artist Epifanio Fuentes. Julia is certainly one of the best painters of alebrijes artist in Oaxaca. This time she decorated the seahorse with a wonderful design of different Zapotec fretwork with diverse colors and gradations. On the side, she delicately painted a scales pattern. Truly a magnificent piece!
