Wonderful Escher style large fish olla by Manolo Rodriguez Guillen.
This is Manolo's classic design made of dozen of different fish painted in warm earth tones, tangerine, yellow, gray, black, all natural pigments!
A very similar pot by Manolo is featured prominently in The Many Faces of Mata Ortiz pg.63 and was also included in the University of New Mexico Art Museum exhibition.
This is one of the most beautiful fish ollas by Manolo I have seen. The form of the pot is very attractive and the painting is superb.
