Spectacular greek-like olla by top Mata Ortiz artist Olivia Dominguez. The form of the pot and the coloring reminds me of ancient Greek amphoras. It is very aesthetic and elegant. The lip is a semi-oval that when viewed from the top completes a fabulous etched pattern. The designs are all etched, very delicate and harmonious. One of Olivia's ollas just won 1st Place in the Premio Nacional de la Ceramica, Mexican National Ceramic competition held yearly in Guadalajara Mexico. In addition she has won numerous awards for her incredible ceramic pieces, such as this beauty!
