Exceptional, one-piece fox with maiz, corn, by artist Rocio Fabian. This unique sculpture consists of a standing stylized fox holding a corn in the husk. Maize was and is the very basis of life in Mexico. In the Mayan Popol Vuh legend, "the animals who brought the food: fox, coyote, parrot, crow. There were four animals who brought the news of the ears of yellow corn and white corn. They were coming from over there at Broken Place, they showed the way to the break."
